We’re Harmata Studio, a passionate team of artists dedicated to our craft. Currently, we're working on an exciting survival-horror game, and we're looking for a talented Vegetation Artist to join us. We work for free.
In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality of in-game environments through the creation of vegetation assets. Your role includes reporting to the Lead Environment Artist and Project Manager, participating in work reviews, and discussing project progress. Additionally, you will mentor junior developers and collaborate with your Manager and Directors to advance the discipline and improve team dynamics. We are seeking an individual with strong expertise in vegetation art who is also dedicated to contributing to the field, supporting the team, and positively influencing colleagues.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Create and document new workflows and processes for vegetation art.
Develop benchmark assets to meet visual and technical standards in vegetation art.
Collaborate with leads and project managers to prioritise tasks, set scopes, and establish deadlines.
Analyse and decompose complex problems, determining solutions based on dependencies and project requirements.
Assign tasks, provide feedback, and mentor less experienced artists.
Assess the visual and technical quality of work, offering suggestions for improvement as needed.
Gather and organise reference materials for personal use and for the team.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
Proven experience as an artist, with at least a couple assets of plants demonstrating your ability to deliver high-quality work.
Strong technical and visual skills in creating high-end vegetation art.
Demonstrated experience in establishing techniques, processes, and workflows for vegetation assets.
Proficiency in using tools such as Speed Tree, Substance Designer, Substance Painter.
